Well, the 0W part of it stands for WINTER. It lets the oil get around sooner during cold start ups. The problem lies with the 40 part of it. It would have higher than normal oil pressure, and LESS oil circulation. I'd guess it would do a number on the lifters and bearings. Pretty much FUBAR'd.

JDM and the local Ford dealer reccomended 5W-50 Full Syntheticfor SC applications. I bought the oil directly from Ford (labeled for gt500, comes in a red bottle) that's what comes from the factory in the gt500 cars.

+1 except for those of us thatadd power adders, that throws the manual out the window. I was surprised myself to find thatthe gt500 runs 5w-50.
