It's pretty uncommon for the belt to be loose. Plus poer steeing would also be suffering from it and they usaully make noise from slipping on the pullies.

I had the same problem on my 07 gt/cs. They first thought it was the alternator. Theychecked the original ( it was okay) andalso tried replacingit witha new one. It ran fine for an hour but threw the same error again. In the end, they had to replace the PCM to correct the problem.

I have also seen the cable on the battery from the alternator loose.
