Default Inputs on radar detectors

Hey all, I'm on a budget and need your advise.

I had an old cobra detector, kinda hated it since I'd see the cop before it detected one.

I want the best deal for the money, and do not want to spends lots.

Whats a good detector for my requirements?

If you're looking for a bargain price on a radar detector don't buy anything and pocket the money. The Escort x50 or the Valentine 1 are the way to go. They are going to cost you a few dollars but are well worth it. Personally after using both I prefer the Valentine. I had problems with my Escort and they weren't very supportive of my problems so I switched to the V1 and wish I'd done it long before. The arrows are an amazing feature that takes all guessing out of where the detected frequency is coming from. Not to mention it comes with a hardwiring kit. If you're short on money save up and get a good one, it's like anything else, you get what you pay for. Check out www.radarbusters.com and you can see side by side comparisons of all of them.

Phaser II y Rocky Mountain Radar. A little expensive but worth it. They will pay the fine if you get a ticket as long asyou arenot going more than 10 mph over the limit. Mine has saved me many times.

The bottom line is though no radar detector will pick up the cop unless he has his radar on. So if he is sitting in a good spot and you come flying down the road at 80mph and he turns his radar on you aint breaking in time.

And I know around here if you get pulled over and you have a radar detector they will take it from you.

Valentine One Radar Locator....Best $400 investment you'll ever make for anything related to driving. To be totally protected you'll also need an activeLaser Jammer (defense system). Lidatek or Blinder are the best. 100% legal and the cops don't know what hit them...shows an error on the gun. Not cheap though...about $400 too.

+1 detectors are nice, I use the passport X50, but to be extra careful get a laser jammer also. I think its worth not going to jail.
