Hmmm, would be illegal in the class i run anyway. Can only run linelocks at the burnout so I imagine a trans brake is illegal too. If they determine that you're running linelocks on the starting line, you're DQ'd. Hmm, wonder if a 2 step is illegal?

unless I'm wrong they have trans brakes for manuals
I'll ask on a racing forum to be sure
why would you need a trans brake for a manual? the transbrake allows the driver to rev to a certain RPM without having the car creep forward in an automatic, and when the light hits they disengage and go forward. with a manual you have a clutch, depress the clutch setup a 2 step as the OP said, and then engage the clutch to take off.

It's a street legal class. Typically they run it like the foot brake class which is no electronics. Wondering how they would prove I have a 2 step since itwould bepart of the tune? My RPM's are so high at the line it would sound like I'm bouncing off the rev limiter. Worst they could do is DQ me and tell me to remove it before I come back.

ya but if your DQ'd early on then you miss out on the fun that time
I would check but it sounds like a 2 step would be a dq

They typically give you a warning first. They had to tell 15 people friday night that they'd let them run that night but don't come back until you have fixed the issue. There was a Kenne Bell GT500 running 11.40's. Told him not to come back until he had a full cage and firesuit.

Most others were for nitrous. Big no no in street legal.

Yes, they are an IHRA sanctioned track (Quaker City Raceway). The rules state any hard roofed car that runs 11.49 and quicker must have a roll cage and the driver must have proper safety equipment.

trans brake is not available for mt's. usually a line lock is acceptable for mt type cars and not on autos for staging
