Never 10 and 2.
Usually just 12 with my left hand, or around 7-ish with my left hand. Right hand is either on the stick (the car's stick) or resting on the arm rest or my lap or whatever if I don't have to shift for a few minutes.
And as DarkFire mentioned above, 10 and 2 isn't even safe anymore because of airbags. 9 and 3 is the new proper way to drive (but who really does that?)

but I have and can make hard u-turns one handed
press on the wheel and go open palm at the point where you can't keep your hand closed
I think there may be a gene for one handed driving because it feels so natural

paperboy style. I can do all but bat turns no-handed.
