I cruise with one hand on top. While racing, keep your hands at 9 and 3 since you will have a greater range of motion. (According to my Bondurant instructor)

Never 10 and 2.

Usually just 12 with my left hand, or around 7-ish with my left hand. Right hand is either on the stick (the car's stick) or resting on the arm rest or my lap or whatever if I don't have to shift for a few minutes.

And as DarkFire mentioned above, 10 and 2 isn't even safe anymore because of airbags. 9 and 3 is the new proper way to drive (but who really does that?)

for large turns my right jumps to the wheel
but I have and can make hard u-turns one handed
press on the wheel and go open palm at the point where you can't keep your hand closed
I think there may be a gene for one handed driving because it feels so natural

Plus 1

Sometimes no hands and steer with the ol knee
paperboy style. I can do all but bat turns no-handed.

What side scoops are those 06elnr?
