Default JBA Axle Backs Installation Question

Hello,

I'm trying out my first mod, and since it was just the axle backs I thought I'd give it a try myself. Well, I'm hitting a snag. Ibought a pair of JBA (JBA-40-2627) and don't seem to be able to properly line up the muffler with the mid-pipe and the rubber hangers. It's only when I pushthe mid-pipe all the way up until it actually hits the underframe that I manage to line up the rubber hangers with their screws on the frames. Has anybody who's installed this kit before give me some pointers on how to get around this? I thought it was that I wasn't pushing the axle-back pipe all the way onto the mid-pipe end but I seem to have done that already. I'll give it another go while I see if somebody out there's seen this before.

Thanks!

I have the same ones on mine. Good fit, but you may have to bend the mounting brackets a little for the install.

Sorted it! Solved by just adding a bit of penetrating oil at the joint between the axle back and mid pipe, the two had gone all the way in but they had stuck and once the oil got in, the axle back "rotated" into position.

Thanks for the prompt answers!!

Sorry for the delayed response. The X-pipe kinda smoothed the sound out a bit, reduced the gurgling soundyou get while slowing down in lower gears. But it sounds real good at WOT, and in my opinion it's not "raspy" at all.

Well, finished installing them but the passenger axleback didn't quite fit right. Unfortunately I didn't have time to correct it so I'll have to comeback to it during the week (see pic), any suggestions on how to fix it appreciated. The driver side one looks great

On how much I like the kit, I love it at 2k+ revs, not too raspy nottoo low;but between 1500-1800 on the way upit dronesso much it makes the whole car resonate in a way that I feel the vibration on my seat, too much for my liking, Not fun when you're cruising on the freeway. I'm not sure if it's something I did wrong on the installation or it's the way it's supposed to sound. Anybody's experienced the same?
