Default 2007 GT Purchase

Hi y'all,

I'll be buying a 2007 GT (5-sp manual, 3.55 axle, and leather) by the end of this week and I have some questions that, hopefully, you guys can help me with.

1. I have several quotes from local dealers (Texas) ranging from $2100 to $5400 off MSRP. If you've bought a 2007/08 GT recently, how does this compare to the price you paid? Is this a reasonable discount or should I hold on for a larger amount off?
2. Is there a width difference on the different rims or are they all the same width?
3. One of the cars has a "California emissions system." What does that entail and how does it affect performance?
4. Is the Shaker 500 a considerable improvement over the standard system or not worth the money?

how much are you paying??
The highest MSRP car(GT Premium, interior upgrade, comfort group, premier trim, & bright 17" wheels) is $29,440 and got a quote for $23,999. Discount $5441
The lowest MSRP car (GT Premium, 3.55 axle, interior upgrade, Shaker 500) is $27,245 and can buy it for $23,064. Discount $4181

Anyone got better deals or are these about as good as it get right now?

I paid 34.5K, yes i do feel screwed.
(it does have all the mods in my sig)
i found out that it would've been way cheaper
if i had just bought a stock GT for 26.5K
and then had the rest done myself.

I bought in march and paid $26k for the following:
GT premium 5 speed manual
Shaker 500
3.55 gears
Sat Radio
Int upgrade
Alarm system

I say either one of those is a great deal. Lowest I have heard of.

Yes, take Matts advice and giddy up! I bought my 06 almost two years ago and the dealer would not budge on the sticker, not even a dime.
