You guys ever get asked to let someone drive your car with you? I get it all the time from my friends and girlfriends family members....it kinda makes me feel like a dick when i say no....should I fee like this? The way i see it, if you pay for it, go ahead and drive it.

I only let VERY close friends drive...I tell them if you stall, your done. haha

I had a random guy ask me to drive mine and he said he would pay me $100...Do you think I am outta my ******* mind! When I was considering changing my exhaust, I had a buddy of mine (a very trusty one at that) drive it up and down my street in front of me so I could hear it and make my decision...Ive let all my family members drive it because they are my family and I trust them...other than that, no!

And you should in NO way feel like a dick!

thing is, my brother-in-law is a moron....he wrecked his truck drag racing one of his friends, because he tried to "drift" his full size SS silverado around a stop sign...ended up in a wall....he keeps asking, and saying, "when you want to learn how to drive that thing, let me know."

Two people have driven my car. Me, and the significant other. And her driving of it is very, very limited.....

Now, that being said, if you have never had someone you trust drive your car, and you follow behind it in another vehicle, I highly recommend doing it at least once.....Totally different perspective on the car....And, if by chance your other half is driving it, and some asshat decides to challenge her, and subsequently gets his *** handed to him........well.........Pure sex!!!![8D][8D]

I let other people drive only when I am in the car with them, it is just plain stupid to let someone drive your car, the legal ramifications (and personal financial ones) are too great, it they want to drive a Stang (or any other car for that matter) they canbuy their own. If they don't like it, they can find another friend.

I only let my g/f drivemy Mustang (with me in it), mainly because I'm the one who taught her how to drive.
