Save you money and get a good quality CAI, such and C&L, JLT, or WMS. Mustang 5.0had a write up some time ago on CAI's. I'll seeif I could find the articalfor you.

I think you have to ask yourself what do you want the CAI for? If it's to improve performance (give you more POWER) then you might want to research this a bit more. As with most things, you get what you pay for. The less expensive intakes will give you smaller gains in horsepower, and the more expensive ones should get you more. I wanted to most power I could get. I went with the C&L for several reasons. They have a LOT of good information posted on their website with real dyno tests so you can see actual results. Many of the other manufacturers don't. I don't believe salesman rhetoric, but I do believe dyno sheets. Plus I read dozens of threads about CAIs here in these forums. $400-$600 is a lot of my hard-earned money to spend on anything, so I spent the time to get as much info as I could before making my decision. I'm not bashing anyone who put something else on his or her car, don't get me wrong. It depends on what you want is all.

when we all get real, beef our clutches and trannies, slap in some cast internals and bolt up the twin screws, none of this is gonna matter because the s/c's come with their own version of a CAI. So this is all moot.

Ok, did a little research, AND...What do you guys think? I have the exhaust done and was looking at the Superchips programer for my car. In addition to the Airaid intake. Any suggestions on this configuration. I've heard C&L intakes mentioned a few times as well, better config. with the C&L. I'm looking for a solid 350 horse, or pretty close, maybe an underdrive pully.

The guys here gave you the best advice possible...listen to them that is whythey are here. The exhaust gave you no increase in performance, just sound.Go to one of themustang specialty web stores and look at the packages they offer. They take the best mods and put them together to make life easier.

The AIRAID setup has been our most popular seller for what it's worth!

If you haven't picked it up yet, shoot me an e-mail with the best price you have and I'll see if I can beat it and save you a few bucks!

Cheers

Ok, first off, before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I do have a SCT tuner on order . I have a few, before and after pics of my Airaid install. I took her out for a spin after installation and the one thing I noticed right off the cuff was that the car sounded different, meaner [sm=badbadbad.gif]. The car had more of a growl to her, a richer, deeper, throatier tone. My question is; is this normal after a CAI install? I've installed a few K&N kits, but never noticed a change in tone quite as dramatic as with the Airaid. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated guys, thanks.
