Default factory cupholder inserts?

Did you get some kind of rubber or metal insert for the cupholders when you bought your stang? I've seen some pictures of other people's mustangs on here with some nice looking cupholders. Mine came with didly squat. Just bare plastic holes. Was I supposed to get something there? Or are those aftermarket add-ons?

The rear cup holder should have a rubber insert, that once removed will make that hole deeper than the front hole. With the insert in place they are the same depth. It comes standard.

If you saw pics that had metal trim, then those were aftermarket pieces. The stang does have a plastic insert that fits down into the holder, to raise it for smaller cups. You remove it to fit in the larger ones.

Hey, thanks for posting the pic as I've been wondering what an insert might look like.

No problem, I have it in satin on my car and it looks awesome.
