I am interested as well, however the only way to go is forged and thats about 7-1200 per wheel.

I am looking for lightweight 19x10's

Forged rims are nice but you're def going to pay a lot for them as they aren't cheap. Do a search on google for forged rims and see what you like.

So far I am into the buddy club wheels or the Volk Racing TE37.

+1 for tire rack, they have decent prices. OZ makes light rims. forged would be the way to go, but no matter what you choose, light weight is expensive.

any other options guys? Damnit am I the only one that is against putting 30 lb rims in the cars? That is rotational weight. Shaving 15lbs from a rim is almost the same as putting an alum driveshaft...

There are not a lot of choices for light weight 18" wheels. I did a lot of checking around and most of thecompanies don't even have exact weights on the wheels they sell. Kind of frustrating when you got the cash to spend and they won't even do us the favor of getting that information for us. My stock 18 X 8.5 polished bullets and 235 tires weighed 56 lb each. I ended up getting chrome bullets 18 X 9 and 18 X 10 from American Muscle. The combined weight of all four with 255 and 285Nitto 555 tires was the same asmy stock wheels. Also, beware of wheels that claim to be ultralite. That is not always the truth. The only affordable way to really drop any appreciable weight would be to go to 17" wheels. The drawback from that would be, you cannot upgrade your brakes to 14" rotors. I plan to upgrade my brakes soon, so that is out of the question. The only other route would be to spend some serious cash for racing wheels, but they usually are not DOT approved. the situation is a real SNAFU.

Here is an e-mail response from Steeda on their wheels:

Weights and prices for the following wheels.chrome ultralite S197 29.85 lbs $199.95 ea. (on sale) chrome hexentric 27.85lbs $189.95 ea. (on sale)chrome ultralite 1 31lbs $309.95 ea.chrome pentar 31lbs $299.00 ea.Please give me a call and I can work on these prices for you. Wheel and Tire pkgs are also available.Hector L. Vega
