Default Sounds like ****.....

I had my MAC Long Tube Header, MAC of road H-Pipe and SLP Loudmouths installed on my 2007 V6. First off all, it's ****ing loud wayy louder than when I the y-pipe and the SLP Loudmouths. At idle, you would guess it's a GT. Anyways, I seem to have the problem that I dont have the get up like I usually do. Is this normal? Since when I got there, he was finishing up the welding and lowered it and gave it to me. Maybe I have to run it for awhile? Also, will the loudness go down? It sounds...not that great. It sounded alot better with the Y-Pipe since It wasnt as freaking loud. Anyone have any ideas?

Also, my check charging system light came on....what's the problem now?

I have limited experience with Fords but I remember when working on SB Chevys, adding headers would take away a little low end torque. Might be normal.

true.

Also the sound wont quiet down you will just get used to the noise. But the tone will change a little. When I first got my SLPs on my 96 GT it sounded like a ****ing truck. Gave it about 2 weeks and it sounded like an 03 cobra @ 2500rpms(with a mac o/r h-pipe.)

Disconnect the battery for 20 mins so the "learned tables" in the PCM are reset and the system
can relearn the tables with the new pipes. It should get the getty up and go back after a few
miles of learning at different speeds and driving conditions. Some at idle and some crusin
and some just a gettin it hard.

I just tried the battery thing and it didn't help. The check charging system is still there.....

Didn't drive it yet to answer on the throttle response since it was already in the driveway.

You need a tune for various reasons here...the o/r pipe will throw a code by itself and you need to shut off the rear O2s, but the LTs can move the front O2 downstream more causing a different code yet....and the LTs need a tune really to run optimally. Pull the codes to find out exactly what the code is.

The loss of power is probably from the lack of backpressure from your exhaust system. Straight pipes on a v6 is only gonna sound so meaty anyway. Hate to say it, but it is what it is.
