Do you think women like loud exhausts on the 2005+ Mustangs? Curiously, from my end, I have found the answer is NO. I have asked 6 women so far - so this is by no means scientific. Is this a "guy" thing? I was going to order some GTAs or even Borla Stingers for my 2006 GT but now I am holding off - I am more concerned with what women think than men...

Congratulations! You pass the straight test! That's one thing most guys don't get. Cars, especially muscle cars, appeal to MEN. The average single woman couldn't give a darn about a car that costs as little as a Mustang. They aren't impressed by how much horsepower you have, how loud the exhaust is- any of that!
You want a chick? Get a CUTE car! Pull up next to a babe with one of those little Nash Metropolitans, honk the cutesy little horn and she'll jump in with you! It won't SCARE her! She'll feel safe.
The Mustang... it might scare her away![]

Not this babe! I like a nice sounding exhaust as long as it's not ridiculous loud like a Motorcycle.

I run the Borla GT Stingers, my wife doesn't care if its loud. It's cool for me because she can hear me coming home for 2 blocks and has the garage door open when I get here. Shes not going to divorce me because my caris loud, so I don't really get your point. Are you worried that women aren't going to like you because of your exhaust? Ithink you should do what most women would do, keep it stock...[sm=laughat.gif]

I've given a couple friends of mine rides, and I always ask them if they think my car is too loud (just have stingers atm)

One told me "your car is really loud" and asked me what was wrong with my car when it was droning going up a hill
One didn't really say much of anything, so I guess she didn't mind
And one liked how my car sounded, even when it was droning, but thinks it's funny that she can hear my car everytime I drive by, and always calls me when she's home and hears me go by and asks "Was that you?!" Yes...yes it was...

Well, I think it depends on the woman and her appreciation level of cars. I am a straight woman, who loves the sound of a deep throaty exhaust. I get all giggly and excited, like most girls do when they see a diamond ring. Diamonds are nice but a hot car and a mean exhaust talks way louder to me. Hope that helps.

I guess I am selfish but, I really don't care what others think, especially of my exhaust.
I am running the SLP loud mouth package and everytime I lay into it and get slammed
into my seat, that loud growl just makes the hair on my neck stand up. Let's not loose
focus on the overall goal here, MY enjoyment of MY investment.

My wife states " it wouldn't be your car if it wasn't loud". Im an old man, but young at heart.

WOW - I really can't tell you all how cool this is to me. I was a psychology major btw. Also, Just FYI, I am 43 and have been happily married for 19 years - I am definitely not "out there" (dating) as George from Seinfeld would say. The responses from women mean the most here - but Orion 240's response seems right on target from the male perspective.

If I were single - I would definitely be impressed by a woman that thought a "muscular" exhaust was impressive and appreciated it. My wife - she really does not care one way or the other really - after 19 years, we pick our battles

Thank you all again - I am just wondering, as an oldpsych major, if the exhaust is one of those "the louder the sound, the smaller the ..." type things.

I know Stowe has Stingers - Go Stowe!!!!! (and the other women that appreciate an aggressive sound) You single guys take note..

I wish I could get Corsas but they are sky high now. I am between the Borla Stingers (loud)and the FRPP GTAs (not so much).

Please keep your feedback coming!
