It just sounds like a bad alternator or loose cable at the battery. I believe there is a bad batch of alternators since I the ones I have seen go out are all around the same build date.

Why the alternator quit so early in her car's life?
Girl, do you have a bad a## audio system that draws too much amps? How many times did you jump start that car since you've got it ?
Alternators don't like jumpstarts, especially if you don't turn everything off while you do it (and I mean everything).
Just asking...
Since you're replacing it, you might wanna upgrade with a more efficient alternator (more amps output) if it's possible.

The car's locks wouldn't even lock from the inside of the car when I pressed the buttons. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING was dead.

I have to say that my Stang so far has not failed me in anyway, not even a light bulb.
I only have 20K miles though.
