tracks have shut me down to only 75 shot because no cage. who other than forensicsteve has a cage and is it a custom built or a kit?chrome moly or dom tubing? I have a bender to build my own, but after all the mistakes I will make in building my own and wasted tube Im sure I can buy one and just install it, any info would be great. thanks

Isn't it in the 12's and its required? That's how it is at the local track. Anything 12.99 and below requires a cage.

NHRA tracks require 11.49 or quicker and 13.49 in a convertible to have a roll bar.A full cage is required after you break into the nines or run 135 or faster regardless of et.some tracks require them at slower speeds for there own reasons or for insurance maybe

Yeah when I heard from my buddy that 13s required helmets...I was cool with that. Then, he told me 12's for cage and that pissed me off.

my car is now running 11.0 with the 125 shot so I have to back it down to 75 shot or they will ban me for the rest of the season. a friend and neighbor of mine just crashed his nova at on his way to an 8 sec pass and went through the traps sideways at 150 and 9.2 before turning it into a pin ball game so the tracks are really inspecting now because his car was not certified to go below 9.99 and he only had 2 bolts holding the drivers seat in. luckily he's not dead.

MMR has a six point cage you can just tack together. At the track i go to its 10.99 for a cage unless youre good friends with the owner
