ORIGINAL: gtucker4

What makes me mad, is that Whipple and Ford are in bed together for the GT superchargers, but I called them today, and they said that they had no plans at all to market a S/C for the 4.0 V6. I see this as extremely lame, not to mention a bad business move, considering the majority of Mustang owners have V6 cars. Why would they give all the market share to Paxton, who Shelby has teamed with for their CS6 S/C package? Maybe they got strongarmed by Ford, since Shelby carries a lot of weight in the Mustang world...[:@]
i would be suprised if they haven't looked into it and even done some prototypes. Maybe it just wasn't economically feasible for them. I'm not going to throw thousands of dollars in R&D at something unless i'm sure I can sell it for a profit. Would you buy a whipple for your V6 if it cost $8k? Are there any twin screws for the 4.0?

Yeah, there is a twin screw for the 4.0. Can't remember where I saw it.
I think it's called x-charger. (something charger).
It won't work for me since I want to retain my Shaker. The Vortech does a good job on the 4.0. It goes in the 10s at 16psi and forge internals (MMFF)

okay, the odds your intake or you exhaust will break is pretty low. Even so, I'd rather not pay the extra money.
