For those of you who only check the main forum(Like I used to do...[:@]). Part number for the V6 Performance package is M-2007-FR1V6, and it's going to run $1,049 MSRP. It will include the M-5230-V6,along with the CAI, performance oil filter, and pro cal tool. Not bad at all, could be the best bargain on a factory warranted part... Glad to be of assistance, sense you all have been there for me quite a bit. Enjoy!

WTF, Joe? How's that a rip off? You get the full dual exhaust w/x pipe, CAI and tuner, and performance oil filter, all WITH warranty, for $1049. I think that's a steal for brand new company warranted parts. What makes me mad, is that Whipple and Ford are in bed together for the GT superchargers, but I called them today, and they said that they had no plans at all to market a S/C for the 4.0 V6. I see this as extremely lame, not to mention a bad business move, considering the majority of Mustang owners have V6 cars. Why would they give all the market share to Paxton, who Shelby has teamed with for their CS6 S/C package? Maybe they got strongarmed by Ford, since Shelby carries a lot of weight in the Mustang world...[:@]

hmm you actually dont get a warranty unless its installed which should run you even more
I'm just interested in the intake, so even if its not warranted if it breaks or w/e (Id install) I just dont want to have them be a=holes if I have an aftermarketer with a tune and run the risk of voiding my warranty.

All of the FRPP parts have to be installed by FORD for any warranty...so yes there is a cost there, usually they want close to 500 for the install on this stuff.....its rediculous IMO, especially when teh CAI/tune is very conservative compared to those of Bama and brespeed and they cost les than the FRPP pak too.

That's where you have to "negociate" the price of the parts, and that usually means buying more than one. I'm thinking of getting the V6 handling pack, in addition to this Performance pack, and some 18" wheels as well. I would basically try to get them to discount the parts enough, that the installation would be "free", compared to buying at full MSRP. I'd be doing the same if I got a GT, X pipe, FRPP, GTAs, 18" wheels all at the same time. Good lord, I need to get a car, already!!!!
