My only grip with this kit is that the pipes (down & exhaust) go below the k-member and with a lowered car you will encounter clearance problems with the ground!, if you live in a perfectly flat place ok, but does not worke for me, I went with the HP route, I know is a looong wait, but have not had a problem with them with other kits.

Will let you know how it goes.

I'm leaning towards a Hellion or turbo myself. Looking for feedback as well!

How much lowerdo the pipes sit past the K-member? I was planning on using this kit but I live in Chicago where the roads are some of the worst in the nation. I'd hate to have to worry about every bump and crack in the road when I drive.

Well, look under your car and imagine a 2.5" pipe under the k-member, that gives you an idea. That would not trouble over speed bumps because they go up as the car does but if you go over something you can easily hit the pipes.

If you want more info, go to theturboforums.com, many blown stangs there.

Do the Hellion's produce a lot of heat in the engine bay? More than stock?

Obviously owners of certain kits are going to be partial to what they own.
My advice is to do some serious research before pulling the trigger on your future investment.
Just take everything on the forums with a grain of salt. Hardly anyone that owns a certain kit is willing to "man up" and say they should have gotten another kit instead.
You owe it to yourself to choose wisely, call up performance shops that have a stellar reputation and find out their views on the various turbo kits out there.
Here are a couple renowned shops:
http://www.modulardepot.com/
http://www.modularpowerhouse.com/
http://www.pmpparts.com/

Some turbo kits:

http://www.hellionpowersystems.com/
http://www.turbohorsepower.com/index.html
http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/ (most everyone will tell you NOT to use this, including shops)
