I wouldn't, most undercoating will breakdown and trap moisture and salt. Just keep your underside cleaned off regularly with a power wash and you'll be fine.

How do you power wash the underneath without getting it up on ramps or something?

Well here is the issue with the power washing....there are no car washes (that I have seen) where i live...unbelieveable....in Texas they are everywhere.
In VA I have not seen one!

You won't need ramps to get the spray in the wheel wells and underneath. If you don't have access to a power wash do the brushless car wash thing, most will have a chassis wash as an extra, usually only a couple bucks more.

Perfect post, I was just wondering the same exact thing!I live in Ohio and wondered how the winters treated these cars because I was under mineto put on my Flowmaster axle back on and there is a lot of bare sheet metal under there. I plan on keeping my stang for avery longtime and I don't wantto end up with arustang ...
