So i just received my triptunes from the dealership. Part #6r3z19a464-aa. I was wondering if anyone had installation instructions. I noticed in the how to guides there were some instruction but they weren't specifically for trip tunes. The box gave some web sites to go to but you need a ford login to get into the sites. Also i googled "ford mustang trip tunes" to see what came up, and there was a link for a discussion on allmustangs.com. (sorry for cheatin on y'all i just needed info) and there were several posts on how this kit will not work for 05 mustangs (which I have). Maybe I should have researched more before I bought the part, but the parts guy at the stealership said this would work. Any feedback?

So I put this thing in. Sounds great. Thanks to partsbill for the installation info. Can't control the Ipod through the shaker 500 though. But for 50 bucks and the sound quality it can't be beat.

 

Does it transmit music via FM radio frequency, or is it hardwired directly into the radio?

 

It is wired into my stereo, but doest transmit through frequency. I have to set my radio on 88.3 to get it to work. But it sounds very good. I think due to the proximity of the modulater to the shaker 500
