Some exhaust tips are 'resonated' and have a 1/2"-ish amount of material wrapped around the inside.

I have 3.5" Flowmaster tips and they don't have this... I'm running pure straight pipes. Just like Loudmouths except custom bent at the muffler shop and a fraction of the price. The car sounds better without the tips than with them... With the tips it almost sounds ricey! (Not quite, but it reminds me of a riceburner far more than s v8 ever should) It's insane... Its like when I put the tips on it gets all bass-ish and ridgid. Do these 'resonated' tips soften that issue?

I still can't believe tips make the difference in the overall sound quality.
