need help removing dome light cover

Default need help removing dome light cover

i am trying to replace my dome lights to blue leds right now and i am having the hardest time ever pulling the cover off! i am holding onto both sides and pulling straight down but it won't come off. can anybody help me please?

That's how it comes off....The clips can be rather stubborn......try rocking it left to right a bit while you are pulling straight down.....

thanks. i tried doing that but still no luck. i'm pulling as hard as i can but it just won't come off. i even tried prying it with a screwdriver.

I pulled mine from the windshield side and a little pull from the front side.It's stubborn but it will pop off.

pulling from the windshield worked like a charm. thanks a lot! now i need help on removing the lenses. haha.

I went through the exact same thing. I used a newer flat tip screwdriver to work the largest of the retainers for the lens back a little then used the female end of a 1/4 drive socket extension to apply steady pressure to the inside of the lens. One of them did require a little bit of gentle prying from the outside to get it out completely. Jest be careful and take your time, those lenses and that housing seem like they would be very easy to gouge if you don't.
