Gears won't "give" you more torque. They simply make what you already have more accessible.
actually though gears dont change the HP they do multiply your torque. Yes for an auto i would def. get 4.10 gears. You would love them. Im getting 4.10's in my 02 (manual) once i save up
On 05 GT(stick).. would 4.30 gears be to harsh on driving? Also, how much difference would it be from the 4.10
I've heard that the 4.30 gear is a lot lighter than the 4.10 due to the number of ring gear teeth verses the pinion teeth it takes to make a 4.10. As far as driving, it would only be marginaly worse than a 4.10 but remember that a 4.10 is already up there in the RPM's. I don't think 4.30's would gain more than a tenth in the quarter verses a 4.10 if that much.
I have so much going through my head at this point:
Whipple SC
I read in another thread that a 3.73 was better for an automatic that is supercharged. Would someone like to confirm or refute this with respect to the 4.10?
