It doesn't look any lower than mine. Instead of using your fist to measure get a measuring tape. Don't drive past the curbs like that. I usually have a foot or more to the curb when I park. You just need to be careful. I have never hit anythin except a paint can in the middle of the road. Couldn't dodge it and it got stuck under the car had to pull off the road and yank it out. No damage; really surprised me.

I have the Eibach spring kit and haven't had a problem going over most speed bumps. There have been some that I hit with the exhaust. When I first had it dropped, I hit the curb slightly, but now I don't get close. Your car looks to be normal height from looking at the wheel well.

I think you need a new ruler. I can tell from your picture its not 3 inches off the ground.

ok, maybe it's just me, or the fact i live in downtown chicago, but i don't know how anyone lowers their mustang. it is already so low to the ground from the factory...i got maybe 3 inches of clearance now between the bottom of my car and the pavement. i have to go like .001 mph over speed bumps, and i still bottom out sometimes. plus God forbid there should be any construction or torn up streets, i can't go down them without bottoming out. i absolutely can't imagine lowering this car another inch or 1.5". it would then be like 1" off the ground. who knows, maybe my car rides lower than most from the factory, but my car looks like it's slammed and i only have 17" wheels and i bought my car brand new. so hmm....
My '07 Mustang is not lowered either but it has more clearence than yours. I have a CDC Classic chin spoiler and there is 7" clearence in the center. The lowest part is at the rockers with 5-1/2" of clearence. I think you must have some suspension parts that are worn or maybe you're underestimating your ride height.
look at my pic. the front BARELY clears that curb, and that's a small curb, too. the sides are even lower...about 3" off the ground.

hmm...

EDIT: here's the pic

Your car is stock height, this is lower 1.5 inches. I take all speed bumps at an angle.

My 07 GT Covertible is lowered 1.5" and is running on factory 17" wheels right now, I live in Michigan and we have some of the worst roads around the country. It also has the CDC Front Chin spoiler on it. No problems with bottoming out, don't know why yours seems so low.
maybe my car was lowered before i bought it...i mean it did have 50 miles on it when i bought it "new" which concerned me. hmm...

here's how low my car is: if i kneel down next to my car, and put my fist underneath my car, it barely fits. this is with my fist longways, i.e. pinky on the cement and thumb on top. that is how much clearance i have. i just can't believe that this car comes this low, stock. here's a pic...(not recent)

I take speed bumps strait on but slow.
Here's a pic of my clearence with a GT/CS front cover and FRPP springs, on a regular concrete stop.

Man I saw that photo and my stomach tensed up. Those things aren't uniform size and sometimes the rebar sticks out; be careful that would do much damage not just a scrape.

Oh man, thanks for the advise.
I post that pic a while back for a similar thread regarding clearences. If I remember well, the concrete thing was 5 1/2 inches tall and the bumber is clearing by barely half an inch.

I did that for the pic only (I knew it cleared), I don't park like that. Too scary.
