Default Gears

Before you flamers strike, the search engine isnt working!!

I know the 4.10 gears get very high praise on this board. but I have just a few questions.

I live outside atlanta about 40 mins, traffic is kinda bad. Will 4.10's be acceptable for this type of driving?

I currently have 3.55. Is it a huge difference going from these to 4.10? As in approximate 0-60 time or 1/4 mile time

If you have to drive in bad traffic, 3.73s may be your best choice.

i thought about that, but is the difference between 3.73. and 3.55 worth the money to do it?

I'm switching for 3.73s over the winter in my V6, but as far as I know I have 3.31s.

As with any mod, is the juice worth the squeeze?

I went from 355's to 373's and I felt like it was worth while. I also get hit with traffic in the Houston area.

The 373's are pretty easy to work with when the bumper to bumper starts[:@]

I don't think that the 410's are that bad in traffic ... then again I don't pay no mind to my gas either... When it says about 50 - 60 miles to E I just fill it and wait to do it again... [8D]

3.73s are not worth the effort. I drive in traffic with 4.30s all the time. I had 4.10s for over a year before that. You shift alot, but learn to skip-shift very effectively.

I drive in traffic with mine. No problems. I recommend the 4.10's
