Default SCT XCalibrator 3 w/ Bamachips tune = badass

yeah, just got it, and installed immediatley(10 mins), and took Layla for a drive

After the very painless install of the Bamachips 87 performance tune, I gave her a quick rev through rpms, and let me tell you, it sounded like I had another engine or cam somewhere!

Pulling out onto the road to get to the highway, I noticed that the throttle lag was completely gone. on the way to the highway, there were cops going in my general direction, looking at me (I'm sure because they heard the roar from pulling onto the street), making sure I didn't try anything. So I waited until the Interstate.

Perfect. No cars on the onramp, no cops around, nice wide open space on the highway. Before I knew it I was at 80, 90, 100 mph

I ran through the feel of the gears in my mind. 5th pulled like 4th, 4th pulled like 3rd, 3rd like 2nd, 2nd like 1st, and 1st was like starting in 2nd on a z06. Once you get to 3k rpms, it rockets up to 5k real quick.

This is ridiculously awesome. I had no idea I could love my car more than I already did, but I can't go back to how it was! I dread the day I have to return to stock for waranty work...

So you would say the K&N CAI alone was worthless or would you recommend just the CAI to someone else

It seems like everyone has the same reaction, the first time they try out their new tune. It really does amaze me, how much power these tunes can squeeze out of only 281 cubic inches. ENJOY!!!

ahh i see your problem....you only got the 87 tune loaded!! Load up a 93 race or Torq and then you will really feel what the car is made of

What problem?

I still have the K&N, I'm not changing that. I've driven Mustangs stock and with just the K&N, and I can feel a marked difference

When I said I would still recommend it, I mean the K&N by itself if you can't afford a tune also at the moment in question. If you were asking if I'd reccomend the K&N alone over K&N and tune, then no, I would recomend the K&N and Tune over the just K&N, I'm not an idiot

Anyway, don't I need to run the tank dry and then fill up with 93 to load a 93 tune?

uhmmm i thought someone was going to show a cool feature of the Xcal3, but the thing that amazed you is the tune not the programer itself
