Default question on v8 mustangs

I've been searching all over for a used mustang and found a great price on one, went to check it out and everything was great except for the gas pedal.

I dont know anyone that owns a v8 or even a mustang, but when I lightly push on the gas pedal the car doesnt really go but once i push on it a little more it revs up and kicks and goes fine. It feels kinda hesitant i guess the term would be to use it.

I want to know is that normal?

Thanks!

It's just how the programming is from Ford since there is no throttle cable. A tuner will get rid of that and wake the car up.

modular mustangs dont make a lot of torque down low

try stomping on the gas pedal of an old 5.0L. Hands out low end torque in spades.

the dealer told me today somethings wrong with the throttle head and they said that could be causing it to be worse then it should.
