P0456 real easy to avoid!
i was racing a gt/cs today, and it was a good race, and i threw a code. i met a friend at meineke, which is where i was headed anyway. i whipped out the xcal and it read P0456, but no info (boo xcal, predator at least gives a small description). anyway, i went inside with my friend for his oil changeand had the meineke guys look it up for me.
side note, dont get a jag, 80 dollar oil change, 25 dollar filter [:'(]
anyway,P0456 is related to emissions, evaporator, etc... one possible cause, gas cap not ontight enough (relieves necessary pressure). i checked, and sureenough it was a bit loose.i tightened and cleared the code. good to go.

I replaced a lot of evap canisters on these cars too, located on the bottom of the spair wheel well(outside of vehicle). Seems alot of early models have had issues with these.

I drove without a gas cap for 2 days by accident, a few weeks ago, never threw a code...
Side note... Jags get expensive oil changes? Dunno.... My 2003 X-type took Mobil 1, like the Mustang, and a $5 filter... Sounds to me like the Meineke guys know who has the money and charge accordingly.
Now jag tranny fluid changes are a different story, with fluid going as high as $9 a quart
