Default X-Cal 2 vs X-Cal 3. Is the 3 worth it?

Since it appears all the major tuning companies are pretty much equal, I'll have to use which programmer they sell as a way to limit my choices.

Are there any features the X-Cal 3 has over the X-Cal 2 and vice versa?

I have the X-cal 3 and it works fine, but some people are having a lock up problem with the tuner. There is a fix but it sounds like it might have some bugs left.

I've been asking that question here, for about a week.
So far the only difference I can tell is the new design.

I've never owned an x-cal2 but I have an x-cal3 and don't have any problems with it. I also wasn't able to decide which I recieved, nor did I see a price increase - so I'm not complaining.

The XCAL-3 in relative comparison to the XCAL-2 is simply a revised and newer version. It is a little bit faster in terms of uploading tunes etc and it also has more memory which both do help a significant amount when dyno tuning and such. Other than that, it is a little slicker and better looking.
