The only thing the 0-60 times did was get me to take a look at the car. I'd been wanting something with more than the 130 HP my Mazda had because I needed the power to get on the freeway or to pass. Being familiar with 0-60 times I was impressed. That is what got me to look at the S197 in 2005. It was the interior room, trunk room, seat position, overall feel and look of the car, exhaust rumble and last but not least, PRICE!

So the 5.4 & 13.4 are the sizzle that might get the few of us who know what good times and bad times are to look at the car but it's the whole package that sells the Mustang.
If I were trying to impress a woman why would I get a FORD?
We got great BMW, Mercedes and Lexus dealers all around L.A.!

LMAO.. I'm sorry but 'that there is funny - don't care who you are'...lol

As fast as my car is, its' speed has nothing to do with why a woman would bat her eyes at me. It's simply related to how much money she thinks I have to put into the car to make it that way...

Muscles and movie star looks will lose to a fat wallet everytime in the 'what attracts women department'.

Money & success - ain't nothing more beautiful to a woman...

+1

It pisses my wife off everytime we're in the car and sitting at a stop light and the girl/s next to us is checking my ride out. Then of course I get the can you just roll your F*ing window up NOW!!!!

A lot of people have given me crap about the thread I wrote the other day advising people how to get the best 1/4 mile times stock. These people have asked me, "Why not just add a CAI and a tune, you'll lose a few tenths easy!" Well, that's not the point. So, I figured I'd explain why stock 1/4 mile times and 0-60mph times are SO important for our cars...blah, blah...
I don't know, this thread just isn't...doing...it..for.me......[sm=sleeping.gif]

this thread makes me un-mod my car before I head out to the track @byron on Sunday to see what my car will do in bone stock form...

NOT!

I still want to see the O P 's time slip, (since he didnt even know the name of the track he "raced" at
the Chicagoland speedway is a paved oval not a dragstrip

As far as women goes......my girlfriend is real impressed (look at pic) with all the things being done to my car, to go faster and faster and faster. She couldn't care less about speed and was much happier with it being 100% stock.
LOVE THAT PIC.
Mine could care less of my 0-60 or 1/4 mile times.
She likes to go "weeeeeeeee" when I slide it around corners
***** to the wall. Thats the most acknowledgement I get
from her as to how well my stang handles or how fast it goes.
She didnt even notice the 3/4" drop I did to the rear or the Roush
hood scoop I added. Didnt even notice. I guess all that $$ I spent
to impress her with the looks or performance was a big waste.[:@]

staying stock only relates to a very small percentage of performance car enthusiast. Its sad to think you may loose a woman cause you got beat. I have beat many cars in my day and never ended up with the girl because I won, but because the person was an *** because he was beat he may have lost the girl in the process. there will always be someone that loses fortunately for me and the mods its far and few between.

Just to add you are completely forgetting track prepwhich is another key factor why people don't break 14's. You also can't tellsomebody to be a good shifter...

Miss, if you'd rather ride in my car, 'cause it's fast, please just raise your hand...
