YO YO YO DUDES!

I was wondering, what can I do for little money or by myself that will make my exhast louder, deeper, and just sound better? Right now Im running an o/r x pipe with MBRP axel backs. It sounds good but not deep enough, and I culd use it a little louder. Also, it sounds like something is rattling inside the exhaust sometimes. I cant tell wut it is. any help is appreciated.

Liitle or no money--take a hack saw to the axle backs, lol

Or save a few dollars and put a set of slp's or corsas.

I had a lot of metallic noises from my exhaust system (JBA LT's, H-pipe, axle-back) after it was installed. I had to get under the car and run my hands along every pipe to see where it was contacting. Some of my pipes are still <1/4' from some frame rails/body parts. It's really tight under there. If you don't want to have to pay someone to do it, put your car on jackstands and go over everything. I had my exhaust contacting the heat sheilds around the cats and also the hangers were loose and making noise. You will need to put it on a lift or slide up under and push/pull on the entire system to find the contact areas. No fun at all...

Have you heard the difference between an H pipe and an X pipe? The H pipe will provide a deeper, more throaty sound, more like the muscle cars from 60s-70s. But...unfortunately they are not cheap. Maybe you could get one and then sell your X pipe. The MAC or SLP loud mouth axle-backs are pretty deep and loud.
