It was in gear (1st)with the brake set.After I saw what it had done, I check the brake handleand I could only pull it up two more clicks.I know that itsparking brake is harder than most, Iguess I just got out too fast.

Had it not hit the tree, it would havehit myhouse hard.

Better the tree then your home but either way it sucks... sorry to hear... my stang is never in gear -- just the Ebrake for me.

 

In my old GT the manual recommended you put the car in Reverse when parked.
It looks like your car was pointing down hill.
I put mine in 1st but it's on a slightincline when parked.
