GT STANG, I would love to go the route you went with the looms and the braded hoses. Im just a little leary on things making contact with each other under the hood, allthough those looms are plastic they still hold some conductivity, I had them on my old hot rod and they caused a few sparks, I havent paid attention to what it looks like under the stang, does everythingfit under there without making contact. Its definetly ainexpensive and awesome looking mod...

Finished up some underhood dress-up work this weekend. Purchased the plenum cover and fuel rail covers pre-painted from Midwest Autogear. Purchased the radiator cover extensions unpainted from Midwest. Purchased the hood struts in stainless steel from Steeda. The radiator cover, fuse box cover, and airbox were all my stock parts. For everything I painted myself (hood struts, fuse box cover, radiator cover, airbox), it's 2 coats primer, 2 coats Vista Blue paint, 2 coats clearcoat, all from paintscratch.com.
Nice! Hey, where did you get your strut tower caps, I love em'.

looks amazing! any prep work required to paint those pieces?
I washed everything down with Dawn dish soap, then used Prep-All (available anywhere they sell auto paint like Autozone, Pep Boys) to remove any traces of grease, silicone, etc. From there, I used regular metal primer on the hood struts (they started out stainless steel/silver) and flexible surface primer on the fuse box cover, radiator cover, and airbox. 2 coats of primer on everything, then 2 coats of Vista Blue, then 2 coats of clear coat.
hmm no sanding....thats interesting. Im wondering how they paints gonna hold...keep us updated. Sounds like a good project! Maybe I'll do that one day!
