SOMEONE DENTED MY DOOR! Help!
So I was parked outside a bar last night and decided, oh i'll only be in there for an hour so why vallet..... Some drunk *** mother f***er put a dent on my BRAND NEW 06 GT. It was flawless and he dented the corner accent on my back side pannel. Is there any way to pop out one of those door dents if its on our accent line on the pannel? He thank god did not scratch the paint just a 1 inch freakn dent... My poor poor baby... I've never had so many evil thoughts in my life. What low life, disrepectful fagot would do such a thing....

exactly which panel is dented? if it's the quarter panel, they might be able to pop it out, but if it's the rear bumper i don't know... it'll depend on the dent since the bumber is plastic.

Its the accent line on the rear quarter pannel, i just went to service king and they said since it was on an accent line they would have to make a weld and re-paint. They said $600 freak'n dollars.

gotcha... i don't think you can pop a dent out on the accent line of our quarter panels. they'll probably have to replace the quarter, which does involve a weld and paint to match. our quarter panels actually end just about straight up from the rear of our doors. there isn't a panel gap there because it's welded, but to remove it, they hae to grind th weld down and then when they install another, they have to weld it in, grind the weld to smooth it out, prime it, and then paint it. replacing a quarter panel on these cars is no small task.

I had pretty good success with PDR on a dent inmy passenger sidedoor, sounds very much like what you are describing. The dent was vertical, maybe 2 inches long. It went right across the body line.
The PDR guy came to my office and worked on it. It took a few hours but after all was finished it is barely noticable now. You can see the remnants of the dent if you catch a reflection in the paint and if you know where it was. But I don't think it's noticable to the casual observer.
The PDR cost $150 and didn't lose the use of the car. To me it was worth it. Worth a try in any case.
Kevin.
