Default Stereo Recomendations

Can anyone recommend a good stereo in place of the shaker.I'd like to add one that would accept the I-Pod.

You can add a connection to get an IPod hook up. I'm not sayingyou shouldn'tchange your stereo, but that would be the cheapest way to go. I love my Shaker. I know most don't, but the 6 disc changer with mp3 rocks. I've seen people install an IPod plug right next to their stereo, it looks nice.

if you wanna stick with your shaker there is always the option of the peripherial Ipod adapter. I have it wired to my center console so that my ipod is out of sight. also you can control the music with your shaker. i think it works pretty good. the only downside is that you have to plug it in place of your satallite radio.

It's a stereo system.... I say if you don't like the shaker then get whatever you think sounds good... you'll always be able to add an IPOD connection somehow

i have a panasonic mp3/cd/dvd/tv/backup camera combo installed in mine. i love it...its touch screen..also two amps, all new subs and speakers.. you can also plug xbox, playstation, sat radio, ipod, etc..into it
when compared to the shaker..the shaker sounds like a am radio

Love my pioneer avic d3. The ipod interface on it is great. If you don't mind the shaker sound you can save yourself some money and just get a ipod adapter. I got the d3 because I wanted more features that the shaker didn't have, ipod control, bluetooth phone xm and gps. I think pioneer makes some cheaper units that do ipod control as well.

These Infinity components are fantastic, and on close out. Can't beat the value, quality, and price.

I have included a photo of them installed in my previous stang. Also, if you own a good set of 6x9's, you can mount them from underneath the rear deck, the 6x8's from the factory will come out thru the top and just mount your 6x9's underneath. I usedbunge cords to hold the speakers up will I marked the holes to drill.

As far as head unit, most will fit our cars with adapters. If you are gonna drop coin on new stuff, then double din nav, dvd, is the only way to go. imho.
