These Infinity components are fantastic, and on close out. Can't beat the value, quality, and price.

I have included a photo of them installed in my previous stang. Also, if you own a good set of 6x9's, you can mount them from underneath the rear deck, the 6x8's from the factory will come out thru the top and just mount your 6x9's underneath. I usedbunge cords to hold the speakers up will I marked the holes to drill.
As far as head unit, most will fit our cars with adapters. If you are gonna drop coin on new stuff, then double din nav, dvd, is the only way to go. imho.

It gives USB connection, so I can load a bunch of MP3's onto one of my 1 GB flash drives and connect it directly to the front of the player; I would also have the ability to attach an iPod adapter and have it charge the iPod plus control it remotely; and, I'd be able to hook up XM or Sirius, depending on which Sat radio I felt like having, plus I'd be able to add on Bluetooth capability if I wanted (not something that's necessary, since I've got a Bluetooth earbud, but is a nice option).
Again, matter of preference, but that's the HU I've been looking at lately...And for what I'd be looking at, price-wise, it'd run me about $350 for the sat radio add-on& HU. But, if you're happy with the Shaker, then keep it and do an iPod add-on...Not sure what you're looking for, exactly, but that's what I've found and *I* like...Feel free to change your mind and go with something completely different.
BTW, for a more factory look, see if you can get a Double DIN head unit. The single DIN units look ok, but if they have to have that adapter in there, you can tell that the factory radio has been replaced at a quick glance...

RE: Stereo Recomendations
I have a single din Kenwood using a scosche adapter with infinity kappa speakers. I will be adding this tonight I think, if I am not busy. It is sitting on my desk. When I am done, I will take pictures.
