This isn't turbo vs. supercharger debate, this is hellion vs. whipple. I gave my reasons why I see the whipple as the better option. If anyone wants to dispute those reason or give reasons why they think the hellion is a better option I'd love to hear them. I'm basing my opinions on some assumptions. I'm assuming it's a daily driver that will probably never have a built engine.

Yet again you are going to get the responses from people that own the kit that will obviously vote for what they bought.
Best off doing independent research, not some poll on a public forum.
What's important to you....performance? looks? sound?install? etc...
For me it was based on power potential and customer support and I made my decision based off that.
One thing is for certain, and that is that both will transform your ride.

Right. I know the whipple is capable of running 25psi of boost, but you'd be loosing a lot of power to make power that you wouldn't loose with the hellion. That parasitic lose from a supercharger really adds up at higher power levels. Plus there's the fact of needing an 8 rib belt setup with the whipple above 16psi, that's not cheap.

I am fully aware of the two products in question. So my post wasn't about SC vs Turbo, it was based on the two products provided.
The problem with open polls and such on forums is that people tend to vote or "suggest" whatever of the two products in question they have. This makes for a double edges sword scenario in that 1) The person may be knowledgeable and has good insight on the certain product or 2) The person may not be so knowledgeable and is just voting for what he bought.
This is why independent research is the key.
By the way, I didn't vote for either, neither did I lean the original poster on way or the other, but did say he would be happy with both.
I happen to agree with you on the location of tubing on the Hellion in regards to the K member as I am lowered as well. For some this is not an issue.
The original poster (as well as any other looking to make a very big decision) must factor in everything that is important to him and rank them in priorities. To some sound and looks is important while to someone like me, sound means nothing.
Hope that helps.

Again i'm assuming here, but if he can get on the internet, then he should be able to decide what is important to him without being persuaded by my opinions. The poll is silly and I didn't even vote, but asking owners of both why they chose what they did isn't. I considered all the FI options and the reasons I didn't go with the hellion are stated in my first post. I think everyone can decide how important sound and looks are for themselves and what sounds and looks good to them. Sound and looks are important to me.

Wait a second, there is no poll.
