Delete plates are pretty simple to install. I consider myself a novice still with cars and I was able to install them no problem. Tuning for them has proven to be a challenge. If you can find a good deal on them, I'd say they're worth it. I had originally bought a set of them used for $100, then I found a set of billet plates for $90 shipped. I ended up keeping the billet ones and selling the cast ones for $100 again.

Spydershaft, headers and full exhuast, or go with a BMR suspension and Tokico D-Spec upgrade.
But what ever you do, don't buy a Tru-Fiber hood.
