Default Brenspeed tune/

I've been looking at the Brenspeed tune pack with the C&L "Racer" intake. Anyone have this package? They claim a 20-25 hp at the wheels with the high octane tune. Is that on par with what you guys have experienced? With the Dollar trading so high, im tempted to buy one and have it shipped up here to Toronto, wondering if its worth it. A very reputable mustang tuning shop in the area (Da Silva racing) Offered me a dyno tune with a sct xcal for about $ 1100 ... The brenspeed pack comes in a lot cheaper at about 650 shipped.

Well its a custom tune on a dyno, they claim it will net 30 hp at the wheels.

Ask him what he charges for the dyno tune alone. Last time I spoke with Brent, he charges 300 bucks for a dyno tune.

Really... I thought there might have been better benifits to having a dyno tune (more hp, more accurate tune for your car) as opposed to a "boxed" tune...

It looks like brenspeed it is then.

Speaking from personal experience, I couldn't reccomend them any higher! Brenspeed is the GREATEST. If/when you get that tune you WILL feel a big difference. The first time I drove my car after my C&L and tune... I was in shock.

PLUS, their customer service is PHENOMENAL. If you have ANY problems, they'll call you and walk you through anything. (the CAI install is very easy btw.)

Bottom line...go with Brenspeed, you won't regret it. I've never heard of anyone that wasn't extremely pleased with them.

a 20-25 HP claim at the wheels is iffy, with all my mods i total out to 304 HP, i never baselined the car but with unless i baselined at like 240HP all my mods gave considerably less power than they claimed

The reports of 20-25 hp I've herd have been pretty consistant. I think the reason you didnt see the claims met with your mods is probably because you added all of the claims together and compared it to your actual dyno number. With alot of mods there is usually some overlap. IE, with a tune adding solely an intake may net you 20. Or adding soley a TB would net you 10, But together they most likely wouldnt add 30. They overlap eachothers benifits to an extent. This is especially true of things like intake\exhaust modding.
