I saw an '08 Black Stang driving in the bright sunlight, with his headlights on, DAMN......I thought my Silverstars were nice.

 

dammit i want to see a pic, They have factory HID's in 08!luck SOB's!

 

I believe the HID's are options for 08's, but yes they are available, I saw that and begain to wish I had waited and ordered an 08

 

Can they be put on the '05, or is there more to it than just changing Bulbs, etc.

 

You would be better off going with aftermarket HIDS by the time you buy everything from Ford. $200 owns $700

 

i have an '08 and my wife has an '05. I can't tell any difference from a drivers perspective. Maybe mine didn't come with, who knows.

 

Yeah, the HIDS are optional on the '08s. My car doesn't have them, but the regular headlights/fog lights are just fine for me. I get people flashing their brights at me a lot when I run with my fogs on, but that's alright too.

 

afterrmarket HID kits arnte stret legal and tehy will blind oncoming traffic. I just purchased the 2008 HIDs on ebay for $119.

 

did it come with bulb, ballast and relay...and that is not true about all aftermarket HIDs being illegal, after all, all aftermarket means, is a product not original, so even if you bought factory ford HIDs, that would still be aftermarket soo.....

 

Thats not a bad price at all... sucks that the 08 came stock with them
