Default Shaker 500 questions!

Note: I originally posted this in the audio section, but moved it here because i think it will get a better response. I don't know how to delete the original post, so i dont mean to double post.

Hey guys. I have the shaker 500 in my 07 GT. I have to admit It's not the greatest system, but not too bad for stock.. Im looking for some suggestions, I have a few Questions. I want to upgrade it a bit without breaking the bank...

FIRST.> I'm planning on replacing the door speakers (not the subs) With some decent 2 or 3 ways. Any one done this yet? and If so what speaker would you reccomend. Im not sure what sensitivity i should be looking for as it will be running of the stock head unit... The shaker dosn't sound BAD but the mids are lacking a bit, and i would like something a little clearer.

SECOND> If i replace the fronts, should i bother replacing the rears, I admit it is a little muddy back there, but if its just for fill, i'm wondering how much an improvements just the fronts alone could make.

THIRD> I have a Rockford 12" p2 in good shape, as well as a rockford amp from my old car, and am planning on installing it in the stang. Anyone know of any boxes that fit well in the mustangs trunk without sacrificing ALL of my trunk space.

FOURTH> I find the stock door subs from the shaker are decent as long as they are not over drivin (Once i install my sub it will help with that... What I do hate is the amount of rattles and distortion the door gives off when the system is pounding... It really ruins the sound quality. Anyone have a fix for this , im not sure if dynamat would do the job alone as the plastic door panels and the sub enclosures seem to be whats rattling.

FIFTH and LAST> Should i add crossovers to the door subs once I add my 12" p2

THANKS GUYS the help will be appreciated.

I put 4 infinity's 6X6 reference seriesin mine & It sounds much better wth the shaker 500. The rears are really junk, a single paper cone, the fronts are believe it or not better than the backs, they are a component speaker (tweeter & midrange) mounted on a 6X8 plate. You can fit most 6x8 speakers in either the door or the rear. Check crutchfield for models & fitment then buy somewhere cheaper. I got the harness adapters at Best Buy.

Cool. So 6x6 and 6x8 will fit in both openings?

The fronts are better than the back? So then, I can replace my fronts and then replace the rear with the fronts?
