I don't know, makes me glad I'm older. Some of this seems so very juvenile. I'm just out enjoying my car. My first car was a '69 Chevy Camaro SS. Car absolutely rocked and if I can find another one to tinker with I'm going to do that as well. As for the '05, I love it. I don't look down on anyone and think that if you enjoy your ride (regardless of year) more power to ya...

1. Paying msrp. when you go to the store you pay msrp. when you get your hair cut you pay msrp. if all the dealers got together like saturn you also would pay msrp. we pay less because of the greed of the dealerships are willing to do what it takes to make a sale.
2. The 05 mustang is the 1st car in many years that people are waiting in lines for and are willing to pay as much as 7k over msrp. it is a supply and demand issue.
3. This is a very hot car and will be 3 years running 1st the gt in 05 the mach 1 in 06 and the shelby cobra mustang in 07. you mentioned chevy you dont see lines for the new vette in fact rumor has by mid year there will be a rebate. the just are not selling. they are despretly working in a retro camaro they are just a little late !

1. i buy most of my stuff online BELOW MSRP. i get my haircut by the same stylist i've been going to for a long time. i get it cut for $5 cheaper than everyone else. no MSRP there.

2. i won't pay 7k over MSRP for a car EVER. people doing it just want the latest and greatest. if you got the money, go for it. i wouldn't do it. i've been wanting to trade in my 98 for a 99-04 for awhile. i did it at the right time and got a sweet deal on an 04.

3. don't bad mouth any other car company. next year you may be eating those words. nobody can tell what car is gonna be the hottest for x years. the 05 GT might die down next year and not many people would want it. you don't know. there's lots of people in line for new vettes here. there's also rumors of the maro coming back, who cares if it's retro and too late. people will still buy it to have the latest thing.
