Default 12 volt outlets stopped working!

Well last night my car phone charger would no longer charge my phone. (usually plugged into the armrest outlet) i tried my console outlet and it didnt work, so i think hey must be the charger because my radar detector still worked from the console. Well this morning i grab a new charger and still no luck, but once again the console outlet works. I drive to school and when i go to leave later on,. my radar detector will not work thats plugged into the console and i can get nothing to function out ofeither outlet. Now i always had to jerk the phone charger to get it working in the outlet but ive tried everywhich way and it doesnt work. What gives? A fuse blown maybe? Why would would one not work and then the other not work later on?

Sounds like you have a faulty charger that may have blown both fuses.

I have the same problem, except I couldnt find the fuse for it. I went through and pulled out every single one and checked.
Which one is it? Ill yank it out and replace it and see if that works.

The handbook will tell you which fuse is which but if you were "jerking" the phone charger to make it work you may have loosened the connection on the back of the outlet. It only takes a few minutes to remove the console cover (undo the 2 screws at the back of the console, with the console lid up, then simply lift the console away) so take a look & maybe spray some electrical contact cleaner. Hope you get it figured out.
