Default breaking in before mods

My GT is still on orer (11/10/04) but all the mods I ordered are in:

SCT X-Calibrator
Steeda CAI
Borla Cat-back
4.10 Gears

But I'm wondering, should the car go through it's break in period before adding mods?

Default RE: breaking in before mods

I asked the same question to the place that will be performing my dyno tune. Basically he said he wouldn't recommend a dyno tune until around 1500 miles and an oil change. He also said don't start using synthetic oil until around 5k.

So with this in mind I'm putting off my mods until I can benefit from the dyno tune and can appreciate the performance gain of my mods. On the other hand, if your using a hand-held tuner, i.e. DiabloSport, SCT Xcalibrator, I guess you can tune it yourself. I just like the idea of the custom tune based on MY cars specifics, so I'll wait.

Hope this helps

Seems to make sense to break it in first. That way you don't have anything to change back to go in for a warranty issue. Sounds like most engine problem posts. have occurred in the first 2K miles.

Good luck with the tune!!
