indeed. the bullitt fell short of alot of us mustang enthusiasts hopes, but seriously who cares when you have so many good options out there. saleen, roush, shelby gt, shelby gt 500, foose stallion. i think we are a little bit spoiled to be saying that such an awesome car as the new bullitt isnt what we were hoping for. geesh, 5 years ago that car would have looked like an angels *****. crazy how things change.

Be thankful you're not a Mopar fan - first waiting on the Charger's return and getting a four door. And, with the new Challenger, a car that will be out of most people's reach for a while.

ORIGINAL: blueherd02gt

A N/A 5.4 4V 330cu/in powertrain to start
I`m dreaming of the V-10 tuned for 400hp & 450 torque.

If Ford put a big heavy motor like that in a S197, then it wouldhandle about as well as a '68 Mustang with a 390 big block. [8D]

After listening and reading about what the guys at ford were aiming to do I think they hit the mark. Although they missed according to many of the Mustang faithful. Ford wants to sell as many mustangs as they can and by feeding these special editions to the market they keep the sales rolling. Now we all know that for a lot less money we can do the same thing. But I promis your that with in a month of the realease all 7k cars will be sold. Ford will be happy, the dealer will be happy to get the big mark up they put on them, and some sucker will be happy that he has an over priced GT. What a country we live in! God Bless America!

Don`t disagree a bit. Certainly wouldn`t be a "finesse" car,but I think it would be a lot of fun in the old style tradition. For some of us that`s part of the charm.

I like it, but maybe because it reminds me of the movie car... exactly the way I like the General Lee, and would love to own a tribute or something like that, but if it wasn't on TV, I would probably hate it (aesthetically speaking)

oh god, if I have to post this one more time I'm going to kill myself.

WHY would you expect ford to put a 5.4 or anything bigger in? the original movie car only put out 325 horsepower, the new bullitt is 10hp off. big deal.

the movie bullitt was a plain mustang with no extra features, do you think this car would live up to that with AFTERMARKET louvers, and scoops???? I think not.

if you want it to look like the original more, then buy a set of louvers and there you go. 1 complete Bullitt Mustang.

I think it is great. Simple on the outside, but added extras inside. Far from a fraud, but whatever.
