Default Should I?

Ok quick and stupid question.

I'm going to the drag strip. Its not my first time there but I was wondering....a lot of people on here are saying to take out the spare tire and jack and everything.....so should I do that? Because I dont have any traction/suspension mods at all (well as of yet. lol). Or should I leave the spare and jack in there to help keep the back down and not spin? Thanks in advance guys!

i say take it out you shoudlnt have traction problems with a V6(unless its a gt and you changed the emblems), and you lose about 25 pounds takin it out

Yes, you should
and pull out the rear seats as well

and loose those chunks of cast iron
bolted to your rear axle
crawl under there and you will see
what I mean

remove your panhard bar, drill
a hole in the side of it and remove
the lead shot thats inside it, weld
up hole, reinstall panhard bar

filling your tires with helium helps
with the nasty unsprung weight

LOL

When I went to the track for the first time I took the spare & jack out (why not?). Ever since then...I've never put it back in. Plus, I have free road-side assistance so if there ever was a problem then it would be handled accordingly.

unless you live in the middle of nowhere, most people have road side assistance, i dont know why anyone leaves their spare tire and jack in the trunk.. i dont know why i do..
