I really like the spoiler on my GT. To each his own I suppose. Honestly if you are not taking your car to the track why worry about drag? I know I don't.
Just kidding about the drag....

Actually, you're 100% right about the extra drag- but it's too minimal to really make a difference....

By the way, I think your paint job is really SICK, and if I wasn't so afraid of getting chased down and Tasered like a dog by the uptight local cops, I'd consider adding those flames too...[sm=icon_rock.gif]

I actually like the spoiler, I think it completes the look; without it I think the back looks too plain. And how is a spoiler on a rear wheel drive car non-functional?

Mine's Tungsten- not Vista blue, but you can get an idea of the beautifully clean streamlined look of these cars without that cheapo fugly NON-functional piece of plastic....

Hey, to each his own- no problemo as far as I'm concerned!
In fact, almost everyone here likes at least some kind of spoiler on these cars, but I just happen to think they all look like ****, and while they might have originally appeared on real sports cars many years ago, they are nowadays to be found on almost every single four-banger POS & soccer-mom-mobile in order to make 'em look more sporty (Hondas, KIA's, Toyota's, Hyundai's, etc., etc., etc).
I feel exactly the same way about those non-functional hood & side scoops, but once again, that's only my own personal opinion.

As far as being non-functional however, it's been empirically proven in wind-tunnel tests that they do NOT add any downforce whatsoever on our cars (there was a whole thread posted about these tests about 6 months ago).
I also feelthe same about non-functional hood & side scoops, but once again, that's only my own personal opinion. I would throw the faux gas cap in there as well. Don't like a car that appears to have two gas filler points. I did add the chin spoiler but I plow snow with that.

I like the look of the spoiler -- it completes the rear end IMO
