Anyone have a vista blue stang with spoiler delete? Im thinking about doing it to my 07 GT

oh and... do you have to have it done by the dealer, or is it simple to do at home?

Mine was a delete for about 20 mins, when I was installing my ductail. lol.
You can do it, but you will need a bodyshop to fill in the holes and d o the paint work.

4 nuts on the underside of the trunk lidto get it off
and the dealer needs no to know

now for the 4 holes left by removing the OEM spoiler

pull your stang into your paint shop and weld up the holes
and finish by using your paint equipment and paint booth
to repaint the trunklid

Or find someone who wants the spoiler who does not have
one and trade trunklids with him/her. Again dealer not needed
if you feel up to changing trunklids yourself.
The speedo might be off since there will be less wind drag
without the rear spoiler.

Before, no spoiler:

Save/HoldOn toyour decklid as is. (filling in holes is not a good plan, I'll tell ya why if ya really need to know.) Get a SD decklid (not expensive) (would be nice if you can get one in your color; if not no big deal) I would recommend welding in the faux gas cap and lock hole in it unles you get a perfectly matching color SD decklid and no paint work is involved; if not, this would be the time to do it.

Ooooops...too late. Don't like spoilers on any car, so had it removed and body shop filled in holes.

no problem, your car looks great, ...not that anyone can catch up to your car to get a good lookanyway. You must run some amazing 1/4 mile times, yeah?

Can hardly wait to hear how you do, and maybe get to see some pics of your launch with daylight under your front tires

Mine's Tungsten- not Vista blue, but you can get an idea of the beautifully clean streamlined look of these cars without that cheapo fugly NON-functional piece of plastic....
