Default PANHARD BAR?????

How important is it for me to get a panhard bar kit for drag racing?
Look at my sig and you will see what I already have, including the soon to be installed p/c. What would be the pros and cons?
Thanks,

Thurman

I have 18x10's with a 305/35r18 nitto drag radial the only reson i got the panhard par was to re center the rear. the left side was out like a 1/4 inch.
im not sure if it would help with drag racing, butjust to re center the rear end.

Get the true watts link for hardcore drag and racing.
Saleen makes a very good one and from your list
of mods, thats all you are lacking.

You car has been lowered and most likely your rearend is off center. You need the adj. panhard bar to recenter it.

1 reason for an upgraded panhard bar is if you install lowering springs. But with all your other mods it can't hurt. Although you probably won't notice anything at all. If you do get one make sure it is adjustable. They also make an upgraded brace for the panhard bar as well. I think if you were into autocross then you would feel a difference. Just noticed you do have lowering springs. Go out to your car, hang a piece of stringfrom each quarter panel at the top of the wheel wellwith tape. You may need to tie a bob weight onthe end ofeach string, but make surethey hang past the sidewall of the tire.Measure the difference between both. My car was off about an 1/8 of an inch with the Pro Kit.

wrong

You will need to center the rear. a panhard bar and stiffer brace will be just fine. A panhard bar swings an arc as it travels. This changes the lateral movement of the rear differently when turning leftand right. A watts controls it evenly. This input is only relevant to a corner carver. A drag racer is wasting his money on a watts link.

Furthermore, the Saleen unit is more fad than finesse. It has poly bushings and no provisions for correcting roll center. Anyone that NEEDS a watts would buy a Griggs unit that does.

I spent a long time changing my car when it was my driving that needed the improving. I'm all about spending less money on needless stuff and more on BEER
