Swapping out an auto for a manual
Interesting article on swapping out an auto for a manual. I know autos cost you HP to the ground but I didn’t realize how much.

Autos do not normally cost you that much.....typical loses for manuals are 15% and autos maybe 20%.....so the jump from 398 to 470 is not from the transmission swap alone

100%-(398/470)*100=15.32%
then assuming the 470 is with 15% loss already
552.94 would be crank
(470/85)*100=552.84
and
100%-(398/552.84)*100=28.02%
ya sounds like the numbers are off
